1. Another Successfully Soulful Student Recital

A very special thanks to everyone who made our student recital a "standing room only" success this year.

Thank you students and the All-Star Studio Band, as well the St. Michaels College Drum Line who wowed us with their technique and talent, and who also perform at local Argos games, directed by our own Michael Beauclerc! (Check out our website for pictures on the photo page soon!) Way to go everyone!

4. Drum Circle Events and Training

Attention Teachers, Therapists, Hand Drum Lovers and Drum Circle Facilitators: The following three events give you a chance to train with North America's finest Drum Circle Facilitators!!

A) Teacher training for Drum circles in the Classroom!
For the 7th great season, in association with C.A.L.P. once again Soul Drums offers its highly popular course on drum circle facilitation for teachers, with Doug Sole. Open to everyone, and financial support is also offered to all elementary all teachers by the TORONTO , HALTON , PEEL, SIMCOE COUNTY, SIMCOE MUSKOKA, AND YORK REGION BOARDS OR EDUCATION.

B) Fall Retreats...
We have secured TWO dates and locations for our highly attended annual Fall Soul Drums Retreat Weekend

1. Oct 12-14 at the Hockley Valley Ecology Retreat Center.
This year's fall retreat will be facilitated by Doug Sole. Cost is $329.99 plus taxes. Food and lodging included. Limited space available; please contact the store for more information and/or to secure your spot. Click Here for additional info.

2. Oct 26, 27, 28th Our West Coast Retreat will be held on Vancouver Island.
This west coast retreat will held at the beautiful setting of the YMCA Camp Thunderbird in Sooke BC. Located in the Sooke Hills, a half hour from Victoria, the Thunderbird Outdoor Center sits on 1200 acres of forest, with kilometer after kilometer of hiking trails, spectacular views, a pristine 7 acre lake, a wood burning sauna, and lots of fresh air, Thunderbird is a natural wonderland. C) Arthur Hull is Coming to Town!
Village Music Circles presents Facilitating Human Potential Through Rhythm with Arthur Hull- A Canadian Drum Circle Facilitation Play Shop! Aug 24, 25, 26 $360 US. (Registration fee only, rooms and food not included.) Contact Tim Gentle at tvgentle@gmail.com or 416-230-6365 to register. This program will end with a closing drum circle open to all, to be held at the Native Canadian Center (18 Spadina Road, just north of Bloor) from 3:00 pm till 5:00 pm. The Soul Drums teaching Staff Expands again! In order to serve the growing needs of our community, we are very pleased to announce the appointment of highly regarded Korean Drumset teacher Ikjun Won to our educational team.

7. Earthdance 2007

A Community Awareness Drum Circle Not to be Missed!! GTA gives PEACE a DANCE The worlds premiere peace celebration.

On September 15th, 2007, Toronto will join over 340 locations in 57 countries for a peaceful celebration and harmony.
