“Thank you for sharing your inspirational books, resource materials and leadership skills at our conference. You are obviously fine educator and I wish you all the very best"

The Honorable Kathleen O’Day Wynne, Former Minister of Education

The Simcoe County District School Board trained 120 music and arts teachers in this program, affecting over 18,000 students.

Past participants describe the experience as “Multi–Cultural-Music-Made-Easy”
“The creative principals based and values centered leadership tools are tremendous"

"Guidance Departments Leadership Day event of the year!"

Soul Drums is proud to be a leader, as well as innovate, create and most importantly continue to make these events an affordable extension for the professional education system.
The Ontario music curriculum is revised to include the benefits of drum circles in the development of character, musical ability, and creative expression. Our students should be involved in Soul Drums programs!

“ Soul Drums P.O.P Drum circles encourage the development of so many of the skills that we are continually encouraging in our students: communication, listening, risk-taking and leadership; and character traits such as respect, cooperation, self-esteem and self-discipline, courage and perseverance. I have seen this social development as a result of the Soul Drums program at Callaghan. “
We encourage teachers to take classes with Doug Sole, where they learn hand drumming techniques and the facilitation of drum circles. Ninety percent of the teachers in these classes are not university trained musicians, but regular classroom teachers with a strong desire to enrich the creative expression of their students.

Doug is a North American leader in drum circle facilitation at the educational, community and corporate levels. These programs are easily accessible for students and teachers.
